I have a special relationship with water. Humans could not exist without this genetic makeup and yet the ocean is still one of the least explored wonders on our planet. Water is simply unappreciated; its clear, cyrstalline form is beautiful in every way and is only second to it's importance to the planet.

Water's ability to articulate light, similarly to glass is mezmorising and allows for interesting experiences from every angle. Despite it's clarity it has the ability to have personality, color, and sensitivity. It seems no matter what media I work in it always comes back to water. I have a relentless love for it's strength and beauty and I know now this love will never die.

In what seems like a very short time we are expected to explore and find ourselves while taking part in every day-to-day life.

Marine life; and specifically the octopus represents everything I presently symbolize as a person. The nearly unbeatable strength combined with surprising flexibility and fluidity makes for a dynamic creature physically: but more importantly in her personality.

Such noble greatness she represents yet her physical form survives for only a few short years. Of the strongest of guardians; she is depleted to peasantry due to her brief existence. The irreversible power of time meets the unbeatable qualities of ocean.

By producing pieces that personify these qualities; I am expressing the power of time, water, ocean, and the exploration of my personality to the greatest of my potential. Other works explore other people's admirable qualities or the love they have for their life's dream. With such short time how can we not afford to be our best and discover everything we love about ourselves?
